Unit D 105

Beautiful ground floor unit with just a 35 yard walk to the beach. Parking only a few steps from the front door. 2 bedroom and 2 bath that will sleep 8. New mattresses on King and 2 full beds with a queen and single sleeper sofa in the living room. Granite countertops, new appliances, tile flooring throughout, high chair, full sized washer/dryer. Large covered patio extends the space for family and friends to gather. Patio opens up to the grassy courtyard and gated Pool area. Non Smoking

Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at 850-797-6123. In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.
Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!
Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).
Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.
Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:
• Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard
• Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!
• Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.
• S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

  We stayed in one unit for Jan, but wanted a washer/dryer. Management allowed us to move to this unit in Jan - Mar departure. It was a great unit with all needed amenities. Internet service and the weather were two negatives, but over all a a good time was had.

  Experience was great. Although the first 2 days the AC wasn't working, but they fixed it and was enjoyable the rest of our stay. The only down side is that with George being there, the silver dunes part of the beach was not just silver dunes people. I know it's hard to get people to leave, but I feel like the beach service crew should have anyone that is not staying at SD should not be allowed to park their chairs and stuff right in front of guests. (This was our experience one day). There were a few other days that we noticed people creeping in on the edge of the property line, but did not bother us. Just noticed.

  We live the condo D 105 at Silver Dunes. It is a perfect place for a week at the beach. The condo is beautifully decorated and has a washer & dryer. We go with a large group every year and everyone agrees that we have the best condo. It is on the ground floor which is especially important to us. The walk to the beach is close as well. We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Destin. The courtyard and pool allows our group a place to gather in the evenings. It is a perfect beach experience!

  Everything about this spot is awesome! So close to the beautiful beach. The condo is so nice! Plenty of room. Comfortable beds! Very updated features throughout the condo. Close to everything in Destin. I can’t think of how it could be any better. Another unique feature is the grassy area right outside the cond. The kids played catch and frisbee. Also George, the gentleman in charge of the beach chairs and umbrellas, was very helpful! This is a special place!
