Enjoy beachfront living during your stay at this 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation rental condo in Destin! The condo is located in the gated community, Silver Dunes Condominiums and is perfect for up to 8 guests who want to spend their days lounging by the community pool or swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. You’ll also be within driving distance of many other area attractions when you’re interested in taking a break from the sun! This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit is located on the ground floor of the D building Unit D101. Master bedroom has a king, guest bedroom has 2 fulls, and there is a sleeper sofa in the living room. Non-smoking. While sitting on the balcony you can easily monitor the children at the pool or while they play in the manicured courtyard. The beautiful Gulf of Mexico is just a couple of steps away! Take an evening stroll through the courtyard and enjoy the evening sunset on the beach. Come relax and enjoy some time with us here at Silver Dunes!

Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at 850-797-6123. In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.
Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!
Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).
Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.
Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:
• Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard
• Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!
• Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.
• S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

  We enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was very convenient to the pool (so close that our baby monitor could reach during nap time) and an easy walk to the beach. It was clean and seemed well taken care of. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for nights cooking. A few cons: beds were not the most comfortable; the TV in the 2nd bedroom would never power on- we called maintenance but it wasn't addressed; the patio furniture was not very sturdy; the coffee pot under the sink was shattered when we went to use it the first day, but there is a Keurig option as well. Overall, we would stay here again. It is very similar to other units this floorplan at Silver Dunes.

  This was our 39th year at Silver Dunes and we've loved every one of them. Not at all happy with the new beach service, though. Hate the U-shapes. We all want front row, and sitting sideways or way back is NOT front row.

  Overall, the rental experience was very good. My only complaint was the state of the kitchen when we arrived. There was food all over the counters, stovetop, and the microwave was very dirty as well. I had to clean it before even putting anything down in the kitchen. When we had an issue with the shower/tub draining the first day, someone came very quickly and fixed the problem. We were very appreciative. The location was great! Beds were very comfortable.

  We love Silver Dunes and always excited to return each year...this is our 37th year. Our only negative this year is with the new Excel Beach Service. They are nice folks, but very disappointed in their service...or lack thereof. Not at all like the service we received our first 35 years there.

  Always have a great time at Silver Dunes. Don't particularly like the towel exchange situation (or lack thereof), especially when we have to use our own money to launder them. The unit is fine except 1) the sofa is not comfortable at all, 2) needs queen beds in guest room instead of fulls, and 3) the type of table/chairs in dining area is awkward. It would also be nice to have an additional single chair or two in living area.

  We had decided on a last minute beach vacation and I had looked everywhere for a condo for what must have been the most popular weekend in June for a vacation. As luck may have it, Silver Dunes had two Condo's available and I booked them. We had never stayed with Silver Dunes so we didn't know what to expect. To our surprise we absolutely loved it and enjoyed two beautiful days on the beach and sitting out on our patios in the evening. It was just what we needed! We will be back for sure!!! The rooms are very comfortable and well furnished. We are now Big Fans of Silver Dunes!
