Unit 43 is located within the gates of Silver Dunes Condominiums, offering a relaxing, safe, and wonderful vacation getaway in this 1,500sf townhouse unit (non-smoking) with unmatched privacy and breathtaking panoramic views of the gulf, the pool, and the one acre “green” courtyard. A short 75 yard walk to beach through a manicured courtyard and you will be playing in the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico! Centrally located to the pool, game room, and BBQ grills. The first floor offers a family room with two comfortable seating areas for all, a full dining room seating 8, an open and fully-stocked kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, a first floor balcony for outside entertaining, and a half bath. Upstairs offers two large bedrooms : master bedroom: 1 king size and 1 double
Guest bedroom: 1 queen and 1 twin bunkbed with plenty of closet space, two large baths, front loading washer and dryer, and a wonderful second floor balcony providing the perfect view of the gulf and the entire property. Unit 43 is also equipped with fast Wi-Fi, 75” TV in living room downstairs for watching your favorite movie or football game and a 55” TV in master bedroom.


Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at 850-797-6123. In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.
Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!
Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).
Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.
Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:
• Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard
• Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!
• Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.
• S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

  Short walk to the beach, beautiful views, even saw dolphins from the balcony! Pool was so refreshing after a long day at the beach and the tennis/ basketball courts looked brand new! Unit 43 is very clean and comfortable with plenty of space and it felt just like home. The beds were so comfy! Loved everything about Silver Dunes and Unit 43. The best part is that Silver Dunes is a smaller complex so the beach is never crowded like some of the others we saw and everyone was so friendly! Close to The Track, Big Kahunas water park , several restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again!

  Unit 43 was mostly clean. There were some areas that looked as if it could have been cleaned better. A few light bulbs were missing in the bedroom ceiling lights.
  Kitchen sink faucet was loose and continued to allow water to run. Grills were a mess and had not been cleaned it what appeared to be a long time. Trash bags would pile up on the stairs a few times during our week stay.
  Overall stay at Silver Dunes was nice. However, these items that I mentioned begins to add up on the list of things that need maintenance. We have been customers to Silver Dunes for over 20 years, our family enjoys the units. But some items need better attention.

  We have visited Silver Dunes since 1974 with our boys and now, with our grown grandchildren. The condo was very complaints. We were disappointed in the beach service. Our 2 sets were right on the line between Silver Dunes and Sun Destin. It was very crowded and people from Sun Destin continually set up in front of us. We will request, next year, to be placed somewhere else. All in all it was a great trip.

  Overall, my vacation was a wonderful experience. My main complaints would be that by the time Thursday rolled around the garbage out front by the office and the garbage that goes into the chutes on each floor were filled beyond capacity and the garbage was stacking up on the concrete floor below the chutes. I think that more effort needs to be put into living up to the reputation that Silver Dunes has maintained in the past in this area. The room was clean; however, I think a little more effort could be shown in this area also. Silver Dunes has always been like a second home to us. Please strive to keep it that way in the future.

  It was a beautiful location to stay. We loved the private beach access and the staff went over and beyond to help us. We already booked for next summer, but we are staying closer to the beach.
  
  For this unit I would recommend a fan with a light kit in the living room. It was too dark at night even with the lamps on. The fan could circulate the AC too. The outlet behind the couch didn't work. I can't remember if it was the top or bottom plug in. Other than that, it was nice.
